First-Class Mail is not eligible for drop shipment, so it enters at origin, our Vista BMEU.

  2. Drop shipment plan

    Before anything prints, the plan says which facilities the job will enter, what qualifies for destination-entry rates, and what stays local. You can run this yourself with the free Drop Shipment Plan tool.

  3. eInduction at the dock

    Containers arrive with electronic documentation already filed. eInduction replaces paper drop-shipment forms with barcode scans at the receiving facility, part of our USPS Full-Service preparation.

  4. Tracking from entry

    Once inducted, Intelligent Mail barcodes report scans as pieces move, so a mailing entered up north is as visible in Plavidian Insight™ as one entered down the street.
