A real run of the tool: Vista, California searched, every ZIP code area it covers outlined on the map, and the Census household count, demographics and postage for that quantity. The counts come from US Census data, not customer data: 2020 Census blocks with ACS occupancy for drawn areas, cities, counties and districts in California, and ACS ZIP code areas elsewhere.
What it does
Choose any area and the Mailing List Builder returns its household count, the income, homeownership, home value and householder age behind it, and the postage. Search a city, county or ZIP, draw an area on the map, or pick a Congressional, State Senate or State Assembly district. One filter gives a published Census figure; combining filters is labeled an estimate rather than presented as a count.
Why it matters
A household count you put in front of a client has to name its source. Every count here comes from published Census data, and the tool prints the releases it uses under the map.
