Return Policy

 

Any original media (discs, pictures, slides, proofs, etc.) are non-returnable and become our property unless pre-arrangements are made. Preferred file type is Adobe PDF. Acceptable applications for Mac & PC include (but are not limited to) Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe PDF. Additional charges may apply if furnished media are incompatible with our software. We cannot guarantee consistent results if files are generated by other applications like Microsoft Publisher. For best results, all rasterized files should be converted to CYMK. All fonts must be included or embedded. Images must be flattened with CMYK in TIFF or EPS format. Proofs will be e-mailed or shipped out within 24 hours of receipt of files and order form. Final approval will only be accepted in written format. No verbal approvals will be accepted. Job is considered complete if within +/- 5%. Quoted prices do not include any shipping, handling or sales taxes (if applicable). Prices subject to change without notice. All jobs require payment in full upon acceptance of order.

 

RIGHT OF REFUSAL

 

We reserve the right to refuse service or products to any person or organization.

 

PROOFS

 

It is the client's responsibility to review the final proof and layout of all orders prior to actual printing. Once the final proof has been confirmed by the client, no further changes can be made to that order. Please review the final proof carefully prior to completing your order. Plavidian will not accept responsibility for typographical errors, errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, graphics, fonts or content. Plavidian will not be held responsible for client errors in finished product sizes, wrong cuts, or missing or incorrect folds. Proofs must be approved online through Plavidian’s ProofHQ system before and order may go to print. Signed hard copy proofs may be used at our discretion.

 

Please note that although color proofs supplied to the customer are highly calibrated and very accurate, they cannot match the final printed product 100%. This is due to the fact that proofs are created in a different way than the printed piece (ink, paper stock, registration, line screens, etc.) Also note that the customer proof may not closely match our proofs or the printed piece either for the same reasons, and because the customer supplied proofs are not calibrated to our presses.

 

If you need to make changes to your artwork, after receiving your proof, please resubmit your files. There will be a $10 resubmit fee charged to your account. If you wish to receive a new proof, a fee of $5 for PDF proof will also be charged.

 

Plavidian cannot be held responsible for matching colors or ink densities on screen proofs approved by customers. Screen proofs can be used to help display layout, text accuracy, and image placement and proportion, but not color or density.

 

Plavidian will make every effort to match the gradient density of each color, however, we cannot be held responsible for the final appearance of a color. The appearance of printed colors may be affected by a UV coating, aqueous coating, satin coating, or no coating, therefore, Plavidian cannot be held responsible for final color appearance of products.

 

ORDER CONFIRMATION AND REFUND POLICY

 

An approved order confirmation form must be signed before an order can go to print.

 

Plavidian focuses on providing all our clients with the best possible printing experience and products. If your order contains an error or quality issue, please promptly contact us. All defects / order issues must be reported to Plavidian within 24 hours of receiving your order.

 

Customer orders have no re-sale value. Therefore, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. If the error is verifiably due to Plavidian, we will re-print the order at our cost. Any defect/s discovered in your shipment must be reported to Plavidian within 24 hours of your order's receipt. To qualify for a replacement order, you must return your entire product (at your own expense) within 10 days from the time the product was delivered. All Charges related to expedited orders (rush printing or shipping) are NON REFUNDABLE UNLESS UPS FAILS DELIVERY OR DELIVERS DAMAGED PRODUCT. Shipping claims must be filed with UPS. If a change is made to an existing order that results in a credit, a processing fee equal to 10% of total credit amount will be charged to cover transaction costs related to this credit.

 

We are committed to customer satisfaction, and we do everything possible to ensure proper cutting, accurate color reproduction, and excellent printing quality. However, certain circumstances are beyond our control and are not covered by this guarantee. Please note that we do not guarantee color matches from one order to the next.

 

Please note that we cannot be responsible for:

Spelling, punctuation, or grammatical errors made by the customer.

Inferior quality or low-resolution of uploaded images.

Design errors or color selection errors introduced by the customer in the artwork file creation process.

Errors in user-selected options such as product type, size, finishing options, or quantity.

Incorrect file dimensions, image orientation, or file submission in accordance with our specifications.

Damage to the products arising after delivery to the customer or during transit.

Duplicate orders by the customer.

Incorrect file layout for folding, scoring, hole drilling, die cutting or other custom services.

Incorrect shipping address, undeliverable packages/3rd delivery attempts, or other errors created by the customer.

We only offer refunds as house credit, reprints on defective print orders, or mutually agreed-upon partial house credit.

 

Determination of order defects is at the discretion of management. Client will be requested to submit digital photos to document the product's defects. In some cases, Client will be required to ship defective product(s) back to Plavidian at their own expense and in an agreed upon reasonable time frame.

 

Turnaround time and shipping options for reprinted orders varies due to available production capacity and are at the management's discretion.

 

SHIPPING ERRORS & LOST PACKAGES

 

In order to file a lost or damaged claim the following must apply:

Claims can only be placed within 30 days from package shipment. Plavidian cannot be held responsible for shipping errors, delays or lost or damaged products due to 3rd party errors. In the case that a customer supplies the wrong address causing a package not to be delivered on time, Plavidian will reship the package (to the corrected address) with an additional shipping fee for the re-shipment.

PAYMENT

 

All prices and amounts are in U.S. Dollars (USD). If a customer submits a request to purchase printing products, mailing services, design services or other services, the customer agrees that all charges, taxes and shipping and processing fees must be paid by the customer with an approved payment method prior to the order entering production. Once a job has been approved by the customer, no changes are allowed to the artwork files, job characteristics, or printing turnaround time. After a print job has been sent to prepress department, the customer is responsible for paying the entire amount of that print job along with applicable taxes, shipping, and processing fees, unless otherwise noted.

Please note that no work will proceed on any print job in your order until full payment is received.

Payment Methods

All purchase requests must be submitted with an approved payment method unless otherwise expressly stated. Approved payment methods include any of the following methods:

-Pay by credit card for orders less than $250

-Pay by cash or check. We will instruct you on how to submit your check or cash to us. Additional conditions apply to payment by check on orders over $1000.

-Pay by Official Bank Check drawn off a domestic financial institution.

Please note that checks may be converted to demand drafts, an ACH transaction, or and electronic transaction. Funds may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day we receive your check.

PAPER STOCK POLICY

In order to maintain the most competitive print prices, we must utilize a number of paper stock sources and paper mills. We reserve the right to change our paper suppliers as necessary to assure you the best quality paper stocks available at the industry’s most competitive prices. We will make every effort to assure our paper stock offerings remain consistent, reliable and predictable over time. However, we cannot control or be held accountable for paper production variances caused by independent paper mills and sources that are beyond our control. Although the stated weights of our featured paper stocks will remain constant, there could be a slight difference in caliper, brightness or texture. Slight differences may be evident when printing the exact same project, on the exact same selected paper stock, and using the exact same art file but ordered and printed on a different date. For example, you order a print project today (we’ll call it XYZ Flyers project) and you order it printed as 4/0 on 70 lb. Offset Uncoated Book/Text White Recycled. Three months from today, you place the exact same order, exact same art, same named paper stock, same project (XYZ Flyers). When you receive the project, you notice a slight difference in the paper stock (be it caliper, brightness or texture). The slight difference will be within print industry standards for paper stock and mill industry tolerance levels (very similar to slight dye lot variations common in the carpet or fabric industry). We will not be held responsible or accountable, in any way, for these slight differences. Our position is a common print industry policy with regard to paper stock grades, paper mills and the varying slight differences from one source or mill to another concerning like-weight and like-named paper stocks purchased from different manufacturing resources.

 

INDEMNIFICATION

 

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Plavidian and its affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, costs and expenses, including attorneys' fees, arising from or related to your order. You also certify that you own rights to or have a license to use the image(s) being reproduced as part of your order.

 

GOVERNING LAW

 

The internal laws of the State of California shall govern the performance of these Terms and Conditions, without regard to such state's conflicts of laws principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in San Diego, California for all disputes arising out of, or relating to, these Terms and Conditions.

 

SALES TAX

 

We are required to collect sales tax on printed jobs sent to Mailing Services, Will Call purchases, and those shipped to any state(s) where sales tax is applicable. Sales Tax will be calculated based on the printing and finishing product subtotal.

 

GENERAL LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

 

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE—INCLUDING OUR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES, OR AFFILIATES (COLLECTIVELY, THE "COVERED PARTIES")—BE LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY, DEATH, LOSS, CLAIM, DAMAGE, ACT OF GOD, ACCIDENT, DELAY, OR ANY SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, WHICH ARISE OUT OF OR ARE IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH ANY USE OF THIS SITE OR WITH ANY DELAY OR INABILITY TO USE THIS SITE, OR FOR ANY INFORMATION, SOFTWARE, PRODUCTS OR SERVICES OBTAINED THROUGH THIS SITE, EVEN IF A PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

If, notwithstanding the above, a Covered Party is found liable for any loss or damage relating to the use of this Site, the User agrees that the liability of any such party shall in no event exceed the fee or charge to the User assessed by us for making a Request.

Some states- to the extent their law might be deemed to apply- do not allow the limitation of liability, so the foregoing limitations might not apply to you.
